I can't say enough about Secret Storage Books. Donna replied to my email request for two Stephen King storage books for my brother's birthdays. The timeline was short and the turn around was quick. I was contacted immediately and told they would make the books for me that weekend. Robert sent me pictures of the safe inset page on the back. Donna sent me an invoice and within a couple of days the books were on the way. They arrived with a few days to spare to be given as presents. What I liked most about this company is that they went out of their way to make this happen for me. Also, the gifts are unique and awesome....Kudos to Donna and Robert!!!

Very happy with my secret storage book. From the outside, I can't tell at all that it's been hollowed out. It's not a huge ton of space, of course, but there's plenty of room to keep documents, jewelry, an extra set of keys. Much more inconspicuous than an actual safe.

Even better than I expected! Beautiful wrapping with a cute label including the book title. It said “Welcome Home” - for this Canadian living in Australia, this was so sweet. Very well made.

I love camouflaged, everyday items that keep secrets by having been transformed into small personal safes. They keep contents secure and are much easier to hide in plain sight among other everyday objects. For small stashes, a book safe is much easier to locate and use than a bulky black fire safes "hidden" in a closet. I now keep my spare keys in a popcorn can in a kitchen cabinet, my emergency cash in a can of vegetables in the pantry, and my best jewelry in a hollowed out hairbrush in a bedroom drawer. The very best type for hiding are book safes! Every wall in our home is filled with crowded bookshelves, so the safe is impossible to spot. My newest book safe, courtesy of Secret Storage, is an old bestseller missing its dust cover (like any well-thumbed volume), and now tucked, alphabetically and indistinguishably in plain sight, on a tall bookshelf among a hundred similar old hardcovers. Because it's a novel type of item and a fun way to keep a secret, book safes also makes excellent gifts! My young nieces and nephews love them. The Secret Storage website is easy to navigate and features a huge array of catalogued books. Prices are wonderfully accessible. Ordering was streamlined and seller communication excellent. These are good people! Best of all, their safes are made from real books, not simulated book-like plastic boxes that vaguely resemble books except they are too sharp-cornered and phony not to stick out. Hiding one of these boxes is like hiding a fire extinguisher: it's obvious and looks out of place. A fire extinguisher should stand out, a book safe should not. Overall, this has been was an excellent purchase and happy transaction. I'll be back!

I ordered the Secret Storage books after doing research. They are well made and such an excellent solution for safely hiding jewelry, coins, special momentos, photos! Highly recommend.

Unlike other "book safes" this is an actual book whose pages have been miraculously glued together and a hollow removed, from the top and sides, it looks and feels real. The only negative is that I had to remove a sticky label from the inside front cover which read "Secret Storage Books" as it does give the show away! I suggest they insert a business card instead, as there is a mark where the label had been.

We ordered 4 books with Secret Storage, and they were a huge hit with the family. The teenagers loved that the books were real and authentic (one had the year 1962 written in pencil on the inside jacket). We gave one as a graduation gift with money inside and this was her "new favorite hiding spot". I personally loved the history of the books and the beautifully carved secret hiding spots in them. Highly recommend based on quality of the book, novelty of a gift and the fun of a secret hiding spot right on the bookshelf!

I love these books! So well done and easy to use! Great place to hide important /valuable items, and since I'm a book lover these are just perfect!

The item was exactly as depicted, and just perfect. It sits innocently among our books, hiding its treasures.

It's just a normal book in nice condition... with the middle hollowed out! A few real loose pages cover the hiding spot. Great craftsmanship and attention to detail.

This nifty little safe is hidden in a very realistic looking book. It even has actual pages at the beginning of it!
The cut-out part is surprisingly large, with ample room for what I need to "hide."
My only concern is that there's no way to secure the items inside the book...no straps, not even a cover to keep them from falling out when it's opened.
If you have any suggestions for this problem, I'd like to hear them.

We have a Webster's Dictionary, Collin's Dictionary, Dictionary of Word Origins, Dictionary of Names, Dictionary of Surnames, and Dictionary of Botanical Latin...no one will notice our new secret storage Reverse Dictionary mixed in with the rest. This is beautifully made and exactly as described on the site. Thank you!

Exactly what I expected. I’m very happy with my purchase.

The only thing I don’t like is that the bottom of the book shows a line so it’s obvious there is a cut there. That kind of gives it away as a storage book. But the weight is good. I wish it had more depth too but I suppose I’d need to buy a different book. Very good overall.
